At Valley Roots Ag Academy, we believe every student deserves access to meaningful, hands-on agricultural education—no matter where they live. Founded in 2025 and based in Fresno, California, our nonprofit is rooted in the heart of the Central Valley and driven by a mission to bring mobile, inclusive, and inspiring ag education to underserved schools and communities.

Our Founder’s Story

Our founder Kindall was raised on the almond orchards of the Central Valley, where agriculture wasn’t just a job—it was a way of life. Her earliest memories are steeped in rows of trees, early mornings on ranches, and a deep respect for the land that feeds us all.

Kindall carried that foundation into her college years, where she was deeply involved in philanthropy, education, and community service. She later taught in the classroom, and eventually transitioned into continued education and outreach—but her passion for youth education and agriculture never left her heart.

As an FFA alum, Kindall experienced firsthand the transformative power of agricultural education. It builds confidence, teaches practical skills, cultivates leadership, and empowers students to see themselves as part of something bigger—our land, our food systems, our communities.

That passion became a vision. And that vision became Valley Roots Ag Academy.

What We Do

We are a mobile agriculture classroom—bringing modern ag curriculum, equipment, and real-life experiences directly to schools that may not have the funding, facilities, or access to offer these opportunities otherwise.

Through interactive lessons in welding, floral design, plant science, animal systems, ag business, and environmental sustainability, students learn not just about agriculture—but about themselves, their future careers, and the importance of community.

Why It Matters

The Central Valley is one of the most agriculturally rich regions in the world, yet many of our youth remain disconnected from the opportunities and stories growing right outside their door. We’re here to change that—one school visit, one student, one seed at a time.
